Secondary Research.
Secondary research is research that another person has found, created, etc and using it yourself.
this can be in the form of notes, books, dvd's, a webpage, etc.
My secondary research:
The list of all known phobias (in 1995), since then there have been hundreds more phobias discovered. there are thousands of phobias from fear of strength to fear of breathing too much.

(updated 2014) The difference between a fear and a phobia is that a phobia is irrational whereas a fear is rashional, this is the reason it is impossible to have arachnophobia in Australia, it is a valid fear.

Lochlan Morrison because of his phobia of a human heartbeat.
Quantitive research.
Quantitive research is data like viewing figures, dvd sales, ratings etc.
another documentary like that is aired weekly(Gogglebox) has 3.1million views,
DGA (data gathering agencies).
DGAs such as Barb and R.A.J.A.R. Gather data and store it in data banks that are available to the public for them to use.Data gathering agencies are people or companies that are responsible for gathering data, data gathering agencies record the consumption of products by the public (e.g. in the film industry they may gather the number of people who see a certain film).
Audience and Market research.
For this assignment we didn't need marketing research as we were told that we would be making the documentary for a three minute wonder on channel 4. I used survey monkey to ask friends and family if they were interested in my idea of a phobia documentary.
